2026-07-20 –, Workshop Room 1
What makes a game feel punchy? What makes it feel slick? What makes it feel like anything at all?
Game Feel and Game Juice are 2 critical concepts that let you take your project from a sterile interactive mechanics simulator to a game that people want to play.
In this workshop we will:
- Review a few key ideas around Game Feel and Game Juice
- Improve the feel and juice of a sample project as a group with hands-on coding time
- Learn which tools in Godot can help you achieve which types of effects easily (hint: its a lot of tweens!)
Let's get juicy.
Beginner / Intermediate. Ideally programmers but anyone who is comfortable writing GDScript is welcome. Git experience will help.
Godot Version:Godot 4.5+. The code in the sample project will likely be all GDScript.
