Beyond the game - developing the end-to-end stack, made easy with Aspire
2026-07-22 , Talks Room 1

As a game dev, you dont just create characters, stories, and worlds. You also have to stitch together and test a full game's infra - leaderboard APIs, real-time multiplayer, cloud saves, and countless other services. There are great options from the community to use, but the local dev loop is still messy. Running the full "stack" to debug against locally is basically impossible.

Aspire (aspire.dev) changes that. It’s a dev-first toolkit that spins up your entire app - games, admin portals, backends, and dependencies - with a built in dashboard for local logs, health checks, and traces. Use C# or TypeScript - not YAML!! - to define your app and then simply “aspire run” to start everything from your game's UI to a local database container.

Join Maddy, Aspire PM from Microsoft, to learn how this open-source project has grown into one of the most powerful tools for full-stack game devs.
